her life's ups and downs in the past few years.

The Britney Spears for the Record documentary is only one recent example of the pop star's attempt to try to take some control over her public image and to provide her fans with what they so desperately seek: more, more, more.

Britney and Opening Accessibility

Recently Britney Spears had her personal website revamped. She started including videos, including simple videos of her working out with her trainer. Britney Spears may be trying to take some steam away from the paparazzi, who have been making a living off the pop star for years.

She is providing fans with "exclusives" on her website, in an attempt to gain control over her public persona while feeding her fan's incessant hunger for more information and pictures of the pop star.

Britney Spears' Birthday

In a further attempt to give the public what they want, Britney is celebrating her 27th birthday by performing on Good Morning America on Tuesday, December 2, 2008. It's also part of her publicity plan for her new album, Circus.

Britney Spears for the Record: Review and Analysis of the Brit-umentary

In Britney Spears for the Record, Britney Spears comes across as a little girl lost and trapped. The two themes which Britney Spears focused on through the Britney Spears for the Record documentary were rebellion and freedom.

She used both the concepts of rebellion and freedom as explanations, or excuses, for her erratic behavior.

When asked about her now infamous head shaving incident Britney's explanation was simply, "People shave their heads all the time." (MTV)

Well I like Britney. Love her new song to but always was a fan of toxic and still dance to it cleaning the house. I think the media has given us a skewed slant of a normal girl thrust into the limelight who had to grow up and make mistakes like we all do. Great report Pam!

Great analysis. I didn't get to see it yet but from your description it looks like she has a long way to go before people view her as "sane" lol.

Just watched it last night. Was not impressed by her observation that she has "no passion" in her life, especially when the show ended with her discussing how much she loves what she does, etc. Um, that's not passion? Even without the drugs, she's still a little delusional.

Hope she takes control of her life and happiness again. She has been very close to death in the past.
