More Intriguing Non-Fiction AC Writers

Part Two of "The Ten Most Intriguing Non-Fiction Writers on AC for 2008"

Hopefully you have already read the first half of this article, which focused attention on Amy Browne, Carol Bengle Gilbert, Jcorn, Kim Linton, and Kristie Leong. If not, I hope you will back track and read what those fantastic writers and wonderful human beings had to say. I don't think
 you will be disappointed.

This article focuses on my final five writers in the category "The Ten Most Intriguing Non-Fiction Writers on AC for 2008." They are L. Lee Scott, Lisa Riggs, Secretsides, Sheryl Young, and Tony Vega.

L. Lee Scott hails from Bismark, North Dakota where she grew up and obtained her BA degrees in German and anthropology. She also holds an MA degree in linguistics. She practiced as an archaeologist for four years in the western area of her state and participated in a dig at a 9000-year-old village in Jordan.

Laurel has also worked in environmental licensing and compliance for an alternative energy developer and a gold mine. Additionally, she has done free lance technical writing as well as writing on a variety of subjects here at Associated Content.

Laurel is passionate about writing health-related articles. She says, "I think, probably because I've been enduring chronic illnesses since 1984, and have been disabled by them (to the point of being unable to hold any kind of regular job) since 1993."

She believes "What Blood in the Stool Means to Crohn's Patients" to be one of her best pieces. The article can be found at http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/619857/what_blood_in_stool_means_to_crohns.html?cat=5

Laurel says people would be surprised to learn that in her 20's she went through a period of being "punk" with socialist leanings. I have to say that thought would never have entered my mind with regard to this dear friend.

Laurel tries to live by The Golden Rule - - "do unto others as you would have them do unto you." She also tries not to judge others at any time, but certainly not at first sight.

I'd say it's a great article, but I'm not sure I should be up there with Secretsides, Jcorn, and Kim Linton! I like the way you look at each author as more than her (or his) work. I'm honored to be included, and already read most of the rest! Thank you -- and I hope you are MUCH better soon!
