Chicago is a city often associated with Al Capone, "windy" politics and horrible winters. While these associations certainly did not just come from thin air, they sell Chicago short for how truly unique it is and do not portray an accurate picture of the whole city. The "Second City" offers much more than it is often credited for and here is a list to prove it. The city has everything from world famous museums to the tallest building in North America; from exotic fish species to butterfly havens. The following is a list of some of Chicago's most popular tourist destinations, as well as their web sites, open hours and admission costs (subject to change at any time; check web sites for updated information). Have fun exploring!

Adler Planetarium (www.adlerplanetarium.org)  Check out countless displays and endless information about the universe. You should also consider watching a show in one of the famous planetarium theaters!
Hours: 9:30am-4:30 pm
Open late the first Friday of every month (subject to a different price)
Admission: Adults- $16.00
 Seniors- $15.00

Art Institute of Chicago (www.artic.edu) One of the most popular museums among Chicagoans and tourists alike, the Art Institute seems to offer something for everyone. You might end up spending hours browsing through all of the rooms of art, photographs and special exhibits.

  Thurs   10:30am-8:00pm
  S & S10:00am-5:00pm

I am moving to Chicago very soon and found this helpful. Even though I knew a lot of the attractions, there are others I didn't know, like the nature museum. Thanks!!
