Boulder, Colorado, is a beautiful community, in a beautiful location. Just miles from Denver, it is quiet and outdoorsy, with an eclectic-meets-yuppie vibe. Inhabitants range from the very laid back to the very well off, and some are both. In a community like this, there exists some very upscale hotels. Beautiful, elegant, and historic, the Hotel Boulderado was the city’s first luxury hotel upon its opening in 1909. It is located right in the historic downtown district, in the pedestrian mall. The rooms offer beautiful views, whether you’re looking over the city, or at the famously scenic Rocky Mountains. Guest services include free wireless internet, health club passes, 24-hour business center with fax and copying services, hair dryers and ironing boards, valet parking for $8/day, cable TV, and a complimentary newspaper. There are two lounges, and a restaurant in the hotel, and the décor is bright and charming. Downtown Boulder is a frequent site for festivals, such as the Bach Festival and the Fall Festival. The museum of history and the Boulder Farmer’s market, the largest one in Colorado, are nearby. The central location puts right in Boulder’s unique and urban downtown.
