Spring Break trips can get expensive, and that's a major problem for anyone with a strict budget to follow! Everyone deserves a great Spring Break getaway, and Lake of the Ozarks is just that. Lake of the Ozarks is one of Missouri's best vacation destinations, especially for Spring Break. The lake is surrounded by all of the Spring Break necessities: low cost hotels, tons of activities, and plenty of dining. If you live in Missouri, Lake of Ozarks is only a short drive away. If you don't live in Missouri you are in luck, Laze of the Ozarks has five nearby airports, and you can find low-cost tickets if you book early.

There are plenty of low cost hotel options in Lake of the Ozarks and the surrounding areas. The Super 8 Motel Osage Beach/Lake of the Ozarks offers rates as low as $55 per night. Both the Rodeway Inn and Econo Lodge also offer rates for under $55. If you are looking for a hotel with more amenities the Howard Johnson at Osage Beach offers rooms from $60 per night. There are also many resort hotels at Lake of the Ozarks and surrounding areas, and these offer many amenities that can make your Spring Break vacation a blast! Usually resorts run about $150 or more a night, so if you choose to stay at one you may have to limit your other Lake of the Ozarks activities. I found all of these rates at a hotel discount website, but you can also find great deals directly from the hotel if you book early. Staying mid-week is usually cheaper, so keep that in mind while planning your vacation.

One of the things you'll probably do most often during your Spring Break vacation is visit Lake of the Ozarks State Park. The state park features 2 public beaches, which are perfect for laying out in the sun! Although it will probably be too cold to venture into the water during your Spring Break vacation, the lake is still a sight to be seen! The park also offers several hiking trails and picnic areas. Both horseback riding and cavern exploring are offered at the park for a small fee.

Takeaways
  • The Lake of the Ozarks is located in Missouri.
  • There are many low cost hotel, attraction, and dining options in Lake of the Ozarks.
  • With proper planning and budgeting a 5-night trip for a family of four will cost less than $900!
