Custom T-Shirts Online: Unique yet Cheap Christmas Gifts

Online T-Shirt Websites - Save Money, Make Money, Have Fun

Custom T-shirt websites let you design your own custom T-shirts. Wear one-of-a-kind clothes for less than an off-the-rack shirt from the mall, or get that perfect but cheap Christmas gift for a friend or sib. On many of these sites you can even make money from your designs and slogans.

Spreadshirts.com - Cheapest Christmas Gift with Your Custom T-Shirt Design

Spreadshirt.com's standard men's large custom T-shirts start at $8.90 plus as little as $3 to add your design. Think one-of-a-kind Christmas gifts under $12!

Spreadshirt.com also allows you to sell items with your design, setting your own commission up to $20, though high commissions will increase your custom T-shirt price, reducing demand.

Zazzle.com - Highest Payout Potential for Your Custom T-Shirt Design

Zazzle.com offers custom T-shirts from $15.95 with your design. Prefer something else? There's a wide variety of cheap Christmas gift ideas you can put your design on. Choosing an existing design adds a designer royalty to the cost.

Offer your own custom T-shirt design to others through Zazzle.com and set your own royalty. Use the 10% default royalty or as high as 99% (just don't expect to sell many custom T-shirts at $1435.50). For royalties over 20% Zazzle.com charges a 5% fee.

Threadless.com - Custom T-Shirts Designed and Rated by Users

Threadless.com offers T-shirts from $5 - unique yet ridiculously cheap Christmas gifts. Designs are posted and rated by users. Highly rated custom T-shirt designs are printed and sold by threadless.com.

Post your own design and you may make a bundle. Winning designs earn $2,000 cash and a $500 Threadless.com gift certificate. Each custom T-shirt reprint adds $500. If your custom T-shirt wins a "Bestee" Threadless.com will pay up to $10,000 more. Artistically challenged? Threadless.com pays $500 per accepted slogan.

Cool ideas, Opher! Thanks for the sites. I'll keep these in mind for future gift ideas.

Personally, I'm not talented enough to design my own custom t-shirts, so these are great suggestions!

There is always a tension between trying to save money and trying to maintain quality and uniqueness. Iron-on transfers don't tend to do well after repeated wash/dry cycles. Also, you're limited to the transfers you find at the store. Puff-painting allows more creativity, but requires more hands-on artistic ability than designing something unique using graphic software that most PCs have these days. I'm also not sure how well the paint will hold up after repeated laundering. Having said that, the options you suggest are certainly valid ones for those who prefer them.

I will check out each of these places soon, Opher. Thanks for letting us know about them!
