Not Enough Money to Do Much of Anything on Valentine's Day? Here Are Some Cheap Dates Even You Can Afford

Valentine's Day is just around the corner and your wallet is feeling pretty light, huh? Worried you won't be able to have a nice, fun time with your date without spending a lot? Well I have you covered, here are some cheap ideas that will keep you from having to take out another student
loan. I can't promise you that these will be the most impressive dates but I'm sure that if your girl has a sense of humor then you'll be alright.

Valentine's Date One: Can't Go Wrong With Ramen

I know what you are thinking, ramen just isn't romantic. Maybe not the ordinary type, but with this date you're going to go all Emeril and "Kick it up a notch". This shouldn't run you more then ten dollars or so, it's really based on what recipe you decide to use.

First step is to visit mattfischer.com/ramen/ apparently the "Official Ramen Homepage" and browse though and pick one of the 372 recipes, or just search the web for "ramen recipes". Remember, go with something you are pretty certain you can make. Also consider her tastes and the cost of extra ingredients. It's always a good idea to do a test-run with the recipe first, just in case.

When you make the meal, do your best to make a nice setting to help fancy up the occasion, making ramen for Valentine's Day is ok, it's serving it on paper plates that might just do you in. If your date has a good sense of humor and an understanding gal then you should have a great time.

Valentine's Date Two: I Love You w/ Extra Cheese

Ok, this date idea is going to take an even bigger sense of humor then the first one, but it can also work out even better in your favor. You're in college, so I have to assume you have your favorite pizza place's number somewhere handy, time to break it out. The price of this one is really up to where you buy your pizza from.

Cute. Reminds me of this summer when I convinced my well-paid boyfriend to take a free internship.....we had a lot of Ramen and T.V. nights. But I remember them more than the big restaurants we went to before he left the bank!
