P.T. Barnum said there was a sucker born every minute. He was right. Want proof? Do a google search on the internet on "spell-casting," or "spiritual advisors." You'll come up with hundreds of websites that will promise you everything you've always wanted. For a few bucks.

I've found that most of these "advisors," for lack of a better word, and the spells they cast have to do with the things that make people the most vulnerable, and desperate. For example, getting a job, and attaining financial security; two things people worry about the most. But most of them have to do with love. Getting an ex-lover back, getting someone to love you, getting someone to think about you constantly. Ah, nothing like preying on the lonely and brokenhearted to make a living.

And all you have to do is send them some money (a credit card can be used) and they will cast a spell for you. Or, you can cast your own spell, but you have to buy certain candles and oils and things that they are selling on their websites for a nominal fee. Like $25 for a taper candle that you can get a box of at the dollar store for a dollar. If you want the to cast the spell, they will be glad to do it, also for a nominal fee. I've seen them charge upwards from $150. Not a bad deal.

Then there are the "spiritual advisors" and, my personal favorites, "professional tarot card readers," who can predict the future for you. Also for a few bucks. These people used to be called "fortune tellers." Back in the days, they would be run out of town by the bunko squad, but in today's climate where anything can be called a "religion" they are protected under our religious freedom laws.
