Theme parks and sex aren't usually terms that most people group together, unless there is a second (much cooler and sexier) Mickey Mouse club that I am completely unaware of. Today while was thinking my mind came across an interesting comparison between sex and theme parks. I was remembering this last summer and the numerous theme parks that I visited.

Last year was my Senior year of high school and as is customary every single club had some sort of trip, mostly to theme parks, and somehow I managed to go on nearly every one including; Disney World, Islands of Adventure, Six Flags, Wild Adventures, as well as Knott's Berry Farm (I went to CA for another club) and a second week-long trip to Disney World, MGM, Epcot, and Animal Kingdom with my family. A strange phenomenon took place as I visited each one.

First Theme Park Visits

I have always been an adrenaline junkie; I've scuba dived in Puerto Rico, I've bungee jumped and I've sky-dived, so easily my favorite part of going to a theme park were the awesome rides. I would ride everything and anything it didn't matter to me how scary it seemed, I was going to ride it. I stayed true to that with the first few parks I went to, I would coerce whoever I was with to go with me from one side of the park to the next and hit as many rides as possible.

Usually that was all we would have time for, since these days a normal line for a ride takes a good hour to go through. A whole lot of leading up and then a "Whoosh", some yelling and it's over. Time and again, the long wait, the short ride and it you're done for at least another hour. You're starting to see the sex analogies I hope, just wait I'm getting to the heart of this whole sex and theme parks thing.

Takeaways
  • Roller-coasters may be fun but you get more out of the shows.
  • No matter the length of any given roller-coaster ride it just isn't going to last long.
Did You Know?
Knott's Berry Farm is the oldest theme park in the world. It also has some of the best shows around. My hat is off the the bar-top dancing girls in the saloon.
