While gamers are still waist-deep in the relatively slow post-holiday gaming season, the Nintendo DS is looking to have a relatively successful February with the release of classics and several niche games.

Diddy Kong Racing DSNintendo of America Racing gets another release on the Nintendo DS with the resurrection of Diddy Kong Racing. There will be twelve playable characters (the identities of four remained unknown), most of which are returning from the original Nintendo 64 edition. Also making a return from the Nintendo 64 version are all twenty tracks along with several other enhancements that are expected of a remake. DS fans also have to the integration of the touch screen to look forward to, which should prove to be intuitive as with virtually every other DS game that has been released to date. Release Date: 02/05/2007 Price: $34.99

Lunar KnightsKonami First Metal Gear Solid, then Zone of the Enders, and now Lunar Knights; Kojima Productions looks to bring a successful title to handheld consoles once again. The game is the spiritual successor to the Boktai series which was successful in Japan, but as many games with that credential managed to fall flat on its face in the United States and/or Europe. Kojima Productions revamped the game play and is now releasing it for the Nintendo DS. A must check out if you're interested in an original action/adventure game. Plus, the game is reasonably cheap, even for DS Games. Release Date: 02/06/2007 Price: $29.99

Izuna: Legend of the Unemployed NinjaAtlus Co. The RPG gurus down at Atlus decided to bring us another creation, this time to the Nintendo DS in the form of a dungeon crawler. Izuna: Legend of the Unemployed Ninja also brings humorous dialogue to the table to go along with the hack and slash style of play that is common in many dungeon crawlers. With humor and classic game play done by Atlus, who knows how to do it right, you can't go wrong. Release Date: 02/20/07 Price: $29.99
