Lake Crescent is perfect for a scenic getaway that is convenient to both the Olympic National Park and Port Angeles, Washington. If you are looking for accommodations that offer more privacy than a hotel or resort then Lake Crescent Cabin (http://www.lakecrescentcabin.com) is a wonderful choice.

The cabin is located directly on Lake Crescent and offers breathtaking views of the lake. The cabin itself can comfortably accommodate eight people. On the main floor there are two bedrooms with queen size beds and a queen size sleeper sofa in a third bedroom. A large upstairs loft, accessible by a ladder in the third bedroom, has two twin size mattresses and a small table and chairs. The open area in the loft is inviting for children to play or sleep and the two skylights offer relaxing views of the night sky.

The cabin has a full size kitchen complete with cookware, dishes and utensils. There is a bathroom with shower in the back of the cabin and a washer and dryer available for your use. I would suggest bringing bottled water, however, as the water supplied to the cabin comes directly from Lake Crescent. That is fine for showering but not something I would choose to drink. A wood stove in the living room provides warmth on chilly nights.

The large front deck of the cabin offers breathtaking views of Lake Crescent and the Olympic Mountains. I would recommend bringing a portable grill and enjoying a relaxing dinner and glass of wine out on the deck as you watch night settle over the surrounding mountains.

A path from the front yard leads down to the shore of Lake Crescent. Over 600 feet deep, this is one of the deepest lakes in the state. Still, the water is crystal clear with startling, almost unnatural, azure depths. You can walk out onto the private dock to get a better view of the lake or, in warmer months, go for a swim if you are willing to brave the chilly waters.

Great article! This sounds fantastic for a private weekend getaway or family trip with lots of options for activities close by. I especially like the idea of taking the ferry ride to nearby BC. The bottled water is a great suggestion!
