New York Kids Club

New York, New York

New York Kids Club is this place I always knew had to exist. There are so many disparate personalities in the children of New York City and the surrounding areas that I knew there had to be more than public school/private school/Catholic

school or Reform School! It wasn't until my wife began working with this eight year old experiment in pre-K and infant care in the Big Apple that I finally was able to give it a name. The New York Kids Club is the brainchild of one Pam Wolf and it is a direct by-product of the fact that she herself is not just a successful business person who is able to recognize a void and fill it, but she also is a mother of four, who obviously wanted more for them than what possibilities she saw. The New York Kids Club strives to "set new industry standards in the areas of children's curriculum, customer service, cleanliness and community involvement."

But what is the New York Kids Club? To say that it's daycare is missing the point entirely. The New York Kids Club touts themselves as "New York's premier children's enrichment center;" that's the key term. These kids are doing stuff that you would expect to see children doing; playing, jumping, laughing; they also are doing things I wasn't doing until I was in middle school if at all; foreign language and ballet are some of what I mean specifically. With the resounding success New York Kids Club has seen since its inception with these renegade tactics to early childhood development, don't be surprised if you continue to see even more stuff like this from the copycats.
