Best Vodka Cocktails for a 2008-2009 New Year's Eve Party Celebration

New Year's Eve is a time for celebrating with friends and family while ushering in the new year. If you want to make your New Year's Eve party something special, and one your friends are sure to remember, try these Vodka drink ideas at your party this year.

Rockets Punch -

This drink is a simple and delicoius drink to try this New
 Year's.

1 shot Absolut Vodka

1 shot Blue Curacao

1 shot Sweet and Sour Mix

Pour the Vodka and the Blue Curacao over ice in a regular tall glass. Stir in the Sweet and Sour and enjoy.

Jade Isle Cooler -

2 oz Midori Melon Liqueur

1 oz Blue Curacao

1 oz Cranberry Vodka

2 oz 7-Up

1 Maraschino Cherry

4 oz Sweet and Sour Mix

Shake all ingredients (except cherry) in a shaker cup. Strain into a hurricane glass 1/2 filled with chipped ice. Garnish with a cherry and a long straw.

Cranberry Moon -

This is a nice drink you could also make a lot of for others at your party.

1/3 oz Cranberry Vodka

2/3 oz Strawberry Liqueur

1/3 oz Lychee Liqueur

1 oz Apple Juice

12 oz Schweppes Club Soda (I use Schweppes but any club soda will work)

Pour the strawberry liqueur, Smirnoff cranberry vodka, Soho Lychee liqueur and apple juice into a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice cubes. Shake well, and strain into a hurricane glass. Fill with the club soda and throw in a maraschino cherry. And enjoy.

Long Island Ice Tea -

1/2 oz Gin

1/2 oz Captain Morgan Light Rum

1/2 oz Jose Cuervo Tequila

1/2 oz Triple Sec

1/2 oz Absolut Vodka

Fill 14 oz. glass with ice and the alcohol. Fill 2/3 of the glass with Coke and remainder with sweet & sour mix. Add a lemon wedge to the glass if you want to.

Vodka Fizz -

1 oz Absolut Vodka

2 oz Pineapple Juice

1 tbs. Lemon Juice

1 tbs. Sugar

.25 oz Club Soda (You don't need too much of the club soda for this)

Mix all ingredients together in a cocktail mixer and strain over ice in a tall glass.

I think you should try some Americana Vodka in there. It's really good and made in New Jersey. Who would have thought, ya know? But it's very patriotic with it's red, clear and blue bottle. Pretty cool.
