Amnesty International Calls for Governments to Stop Using Tasers and Stun Guns

Report Cites 334 Deaths from 2001 to 2008

It was pretty dramatic footage. The heavyset woman was obviously drunk and in no condition to drive. The policeman decided to arrest her and take her to jail. The woman became very belligerent and started calling the officer names. She then became physical and shoved the cop. At this
point she was warned that she was about to be tasered. The warning fell on deaf ears and the policeman fired his weapon. The woman shrieked and immediately fell to the ground.

The man was very large and was probably on angel dust. He was tearing through the neighborhood without any clothes on, threatening everyone in sight. Several police cars showed up at the scene. The officers got out and tried to calm him down. The man advanced towards one of the cops. He was then tasered. It didn't have much of an effect. He just reached down and pulled the prongs out of his leg. It took three separate attempts to bring him down and he was tasered again while he was on the ground. It was probably the effects of the drugs that gave him almost superhuman strength and the ability to resist the shocks.

John was a 17-year-old kid that I hired to work at a restaurant I was managing. He was a tall, wiry kid with sandy blonde hair and a pockmarked face. On his third day of work he told me that he wanted to show me something. He took a small gray metal object out of the pocket of his jacket. It looked like some sort of space gun with two metal prods sticking out of the end. I had never seen one before. "What is it?" I asked. "Here I'll show you." He said. He then proceeded to touch it to the water softener in the backroom. He pushed a button to activate it and sparks flew, leaving a nice little burn mark in the metal.
