Review of Microsoft Office Home and Student Edition 2007
I recently purchased a Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 which was a requirement for my PC to run a powerpoint presentation which I needed for my thesis presentation, before I was just using a free version of Open Office but since PowerPoint is badly needed, I
grabbed a copy of this licensed software from Bestbuy.
I bought it for $149.95 which was quite expensive for me because I'm just a struggling student and working part time for freelance writing at the same time. Ok, I got the the installer disc of course, I installed it on my computer which took for about 5 minutes. It was pretty simple and easy to install and I never encountered any problem except for a single glitch in the product key. I typed in 5 instead of S but anyways I believe that was my mistake. I started using it, let me share to you my personal opinion about the software.
This edition has Microsoft Word 2007 which I could use in typing documents specially for the thesis articles that I made, it made it easier to have a complete and full functionality for article writing since some of the options are not present in free productivity software. The only thing I noticed was the different interface because I'm quite used to older MS office but still this program really helped me in finishing my articles.
It also has Microsoft Excel which I used to create spreadsheets specially to create tabulations and I really enjoyed creating formula on it. It's very easy to use and very user friendly.
Microsoft One Note is also included which I'm not really using. But let me share to you what it does. It's like an all in one organizer where you can save daily activities, meetings, lunch dates, etc. You could also store information in systematicall by creating folders and directories. That's all I can tell you because I'm not really a fan of this software. Not that I don't like it, it's just that I don't find any purpose of it for me.
