A Charlie Brown Christmas

This 1965 classic by Charles Schulz is the first on the list. This Christmas TV special is about the Charlie Brown's quest in finding the real meaning of Christmas. He finds his friends going obsessed over luxurious material presents and decorations and Christmas events, and everyone else getting hooked up on letters and cards for Santa. He then gets depressed with how commercialized Christmas has become. When given the task to pick out a Christmas tree for the pageant his friends were hosting, he then searches and brings the plainest looking Christmas tree. After Linus makes a touching speech, his friends finally realized the real essence of Christmas, and how fragile it is in this much commercialized world.

A Muppet Family Christmas

It is a Christmas TV special that both children and adults love. The entire muppet gang is invited by Fozie's mother to spend their Christmas in the country. The muppets showcase a lot of songs and dances, and remind us that Christmas is a time for family.
