Here are the instructions to make an Easter Pot Bunny and create beautiful Sponge Painted Easter Eggs.Easter Pot Bunny
This adorable Easter craft makes a table center piece or a mantle decoration that's sure to be noticed and commented on!
Supplies:
Two terra cotta pots (same size)
White craft paint
Glue
White 'pom-pom' balls
Pink 'pon-pom' ball
Goggly eyes
Optional: ribbon
Felt for bunny's ears
Scissors
Step 1 ~
Start by gluing the two terra cotta pots together, with the open ends together. Set them to dry. (If you're using 'hot' glue, they will be ready much faster.)
Step 2 ~
Once you're sure the glue is dry, paint both pots with your white craft paint. Depending on the brand of paint you use, you may need to use more than once coat to completely cover the terra cotta color. Let the paint dry completely.
Step 3 ~
Use your scissors to cut ears for your bunny from the felt. You can make two-layer ears by making a smaller pink ear-shape and gluing it to a larger white ear-shape. Glue the ears to what will be the back of the bunny's head.
Step 4 ~
On the front of the bunny, just above the line where the two pots come together, glue the two white pom-pom balls side by side. These are the bunny's chubby cheeks.
Step 5 ~
Just above the two white pom-poms, glue the pink pom-pom. This will be the bunny's nose. The three pom-poms will be a tightly spaced triangle pattern, with the pink one on top and the two white ones in the bottom.
Step 6 ~
Above your pom-poms, glue two googly eyes for your bunny, complete his face.
Step 7 ~
If you're using ribbon, place a length of it around the lower pot, just below the point where the two pots are connected. (You made want to secure it in place with a bit of glue.) Tie the ribbon in a bow under the bunny's chin.
