There are many types of bass fish such as, small mouth and large mouth fish, spotted boss, and Kentucky bass. The bass fisherman will seek to catch every type there is. Over a period of time, a bass fisher man develops much skill in the process and is considered a professional bass fisherman. If you are new to the sport, it is recommended that you begin by selecting small ponds to fish in. After you have spent time in the small ponds and somewhat perfected your skills, then you can move on to the larger waters. Bass fish tend to hide in the water. They will hide behind rocks, plants and anything formation they find in the water. When searching for a great spot to fish, be sure to look for these formations which do not have to be the largest.
Bass fish are a challenge as they have exquisite site which allows them to sharply see both in the daylight as well as at night. They are a very keen fish and also are said to possess taste buds not only on the inside, but the outside of their mouths as well. As a result they are able to avoid many unpleasant situations. These abilities are what makes bass fishing a great recreation and sport.
Along with bass fishing comes many bass fishing tournaments. Some of these tournaments are, the American Anglers Fishing Tournament, and the Super Bass Tournament. Bass fishermen from all across the country attend these exciting tournaments to test their skills against the competition.
When you are fishing you should understand a few basics. The first being water levels. There are three different water levels. The first is the surface layer. This layer is a warmer temperature than that of the next layer which is the middle layer. Thus, the middle layer is warmer than that of the deepest level.
You can bass fish through out the year when temperatures are 70-75 degrees, or as low as 32-40 degrees. When water temperatures fall, the bass fish become less mobile which can mean that the bass fisherman may have the opportunity to hang a huge bass fish.
