Chuck Norris Fact List Soon to Be Usurped by the Obama Facts?

The Chuck Norris fact list - you know, the list of Chuck Norris jokes facts - rears its bearded face again. Dressed up as Chuck Norris facts and aptly named the Chuck Norris fact list, the collection of tongue in cheek jokes has resurfaced.

With a website devoted to its exploits, Chuck Norris Facts include the mundane and the clever. Examples are copious. An example for the mundane includes "Chuck Norris is suing MySpace for taking the name of what he calls everything around you." My personal favorite? "Chuck Norris is the reason why Waldo is hiding."

Even as the odds are good that you know about the Chuck Norris fact list, did you know that there are other lists as well? Some lack imagination and could cause some serious muscle sprain from eye rolling - see the Facts on Jack Bauer if you must - while others are actually quite clever.

The list of Michael Phelps Facts is a hoot; my personal favorites (yes, I have two) are "there are no world records -- only Michael Phelps' last time" and "Aquaman reads Michael Phelps comics." Politics is also featuring front and center in the fun facts business, and the Ron Paul Facts contain some witty puns and word plays - if you don't mind wading through a number of potty jokes and some toilet humor.

Relative newcomers to the world of fact lists are the Obama Facts. It was only a matter of time until someone would dream these up, and they are decidedly the cleverest grouping of the bunch. Granted, there are only 31 of them, but if you take the initiative, rub two brain cells together and come up with a good one, you have the option of emailing it to the webmaster for inclusion into the list.

My personal favorite? "Barack Obama is the only name on Santa's List in permanent ink." Let's hope this still holds true after his first four years in office.
