Is Twilight in Danger Because Robert Pattinson Cut His Hair?

Robert Pattinson, who plays Edward Cullen in the hit film Twilight, has done something that he may regret later. According to the Chicago Tribune, Pattinson cut his hair and chose to opt for a crew cut instead of the longer locks that he is noted for.

The Chicago Tribune also reports that the haircut is not expected to affect the number of fans that Robert Pattinson has. Since the filming doesn't begin for the next movie in the Twilight series, it's possible that his hair may grow back enough to keep his fans happy. But what if it doesn't? What if Robert Pattinson's hair is very short in the next movie in the Twilight series?

The hit television series Felicity dropped in ratings when Kerri Russell, an actress known for her long curls, cut her hair. Other factors, such as the time that the show aired, may have also had an affect. Overall, however, most feel that the real reason the show eventually was taken off the air was because of the amount of fans lost by Russell.

Will this happen to the Twilight movie series? It's hard to tell. Most of the fans of the series are tweens and teens who love the character of Edward Cullen and really adore Robert Pattinson's hair. If Pattinson looks any less attractive with short hair, then there is a good possibility that his fans may not admire him quite as much until it grows back. On the other hand, if he looks good with it, there's a possibility that Robert Pattinson may become even more popular than he already is!

It's possible that the physical attraction of Pattinson may be strong enough to keep the movie its popularity, but it's also possible that it can have a negative effect on the Twilight series. It should be interesting to see what type of effect Robert Pattinson's haircut has on the future of Twilight. Most fans are probably hoping that the hair will be back long before the crew cut hairstyle that Robert Pattinson has can truly have any type of effect on the series.
