Thinking of ways to cut calories in your morning latte? Traditional sugar free syrups bore you? Caribou Coffee has introduced a new line of skinny sugar free drinks to make the descision to be health conscious less tasteless.

Traditionally, Caribou only offered Splenda sweetened syrups in either vanilla or caramel...that's all fine and dandy, but somewhat cliche and bland. Those days are over, as raspberry, hazelnut, chocolate, and Kahlua have joined the line up.

The Northern Lite lattes are a fabulous way to cut calories and gulit in your morning wake me up at 150 calories for a large (20 oz). Not bad considering the traditionally flavored latte carries an astounding 415 for the same 20 oz. Same 3 espresso shots, but in substituting the 2% milk for skim and adding a sugar free blast of goodness.

In addition to the launching of the Northen Lites, Caribou Coffee has also introduced several new members to their bakery line up. These include a new variation for both their Blueberry and Mountain Berry muffins, and have removed the French Toast and Caramel Truffle muffins. ( Caramel Truffle was replaced by a Double Chocolate Chip and the French Toast by a Cinnamon Struessel muffin)

Feeling a bit frisky? Add a reduced fat Mountain Berry muffin loaded with blueberries, blackberries, and rapsberries. The whole package carries a minimal 450 calories and less than 7 grams of fat.
