Talking to Women - the Pursuit of Material
Embed:
Talking to women can be a quite intimidating task...coming up with conversational material has the potential to be very difficult, and nobody wants to be stuck doing the "awkward stand-around silence." More guys can fall flat due to lack of discussion topics than those who can't even get a conversation going! Starting a conversation is easy, just walk up and say "Hi." However, how do you keep the conversation going and build a relationship? One of the big things to worry about when talking to women is making sure you don't run out of things to talk about...but even having plenty of topics doesn't really help if they're not the sorts of topics that will keep a conversation flowing appropriately.
I read somewhere recently a good tip on how to come up with some fresh new things to talk about that will be a lot more valuable to you than "Nice weather we're having, isn't it?"
Pay attention to the news.
I know this seems like it could be rather boring, but hear me out here...watching the local news or reading a local paper can come very much in handy when grasping for things to talk about. There's always SOMETHING going on somewhere, and more often than not you can find something interesting, that's worth talking about. If you can manage to get a girl talking about something, you're doing well. Conversations always tend to go better once they really get started.
It won't take up that awfully much of your time, and it's a good idea to be well-informed about your surroundings anyway. Girls are definitely going to like a guy better if he has a clue about what's going on around him. No girl wants a stupid guy, and while having a lot of knowledge of current events doesn't instantly qualify you as smart, it certainly does add a nice bonus to your perceived intelligence.
Remember, though, when talking to girls about current events, it's not enough to just mention something you heard on the news...you kinda have to know what you're talking about, and how you feel about it. You don't just identify the news, you respond to it, and so does she, and you respond to each others' responses...and THAT my friend is conversation.
