What Flowers Are Popular This Year for Valentine's Day?

Think Outside the Box This Year, Traditional but Different

With Valentine's Day coming up soon, odds are you are starting to think about what types of gifts you can get for that special someone, or what you can do to make this Valentine's Day stand out from all the ones that have
gone before. One thing that remains the same for many couples, year after year, is the giving of flower on Valentine's Day, either as the entire gift, or at least for a special surprise. That being said, if you are trying to think outside the box, and not give the same flowers year after year, you are probably asking yourself what kinds of flowers would be good for Valentine's Day. In this article, we will talk about what florists say will be the most sought after flowers this year for Valentine's Day, so you can get an idea of what you are looking for.

Of course, the traditional roses are always on the top of the list when thinking about Valentine's Day flowers. Most everyone equates roses with romance, especially women who think about the bed strewn with rose petals, or the rose petals that filled the walkway when they got married, so they are a common Valentine's Day essential. Red roses are the traditional symbol of love, but if you want to do something different there are many different types of roses out there, that come in a variety of colors. For example, Grandiflora roses are usually a golden yellow color, with a pink tinge to the ends of the petals. Hybrid Tea roses come in a variety of different colors as well. If you are planning to send roses to that special someone this year for Valentine's Day, but want to do something unexpected, ask your florist what your options are as far as type and color, and go with something unexpected, rather than traditional for a change!
