They're Not U.F.O.s, They're WHO-F.O.s

Hello, everybody!

It's time to put your thinking caps on. Before you do, please remove all accepted, standard ways of thinking so you can open your mind to an alternate theory about something you feel you might already understand. All I ask for is for you to just consider what you're about to read.

We'll start by establishing some truisms. First, we all exist. Even if you don't believe this, just pretend. As we exist, we do so in a frame of reference called "time" against which we base much of what we do. It appears we can only travel through this frame of reference in one direction - forward. Our present actions can and will have an impact on future events, but not past events. Past events are a part of history that cannot be changed.

But what if they weren't? What if traveling backward through time was as simple as driving to the store? Scientists are working on theories with subatomic particles known as "tachyons" (tak-ee-ons). One of the surprising qualities of these elusive particles is their apparent ability to travel at faster-than-light (FTL) speeds. This does not violate Einstein's theory of relativity because the particle doesn't have to accelerate to FTL speeds, it's already traveling that fast when it is initially created. We know (and this has been proven) that the faster something moves, the slower time moves forward for that thing and if something were to travel faster than light itself, it would actually start moving backward through time (relative to a static frame of reference).
