Known widely as America's team, the Atlanta Braves practice and play their preseason games at the Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex in Kissimmee, Florida. Located at 710 South Victory Way, Disney's Wide World of Sports was completed in 1997, and the Atlanta Braves have used the complex for Spring Training since 1998. The ballpark is cheerful and comfortable, with a seating capacity of 9,100. Here is a guide to Spring Training at Disney's Wide World of Sports in Kissimmee, Florida.

In 2007, pitchers and catchers report for Spring Training on February 15th, and position players report on February 20th. The first full workout will be held on February 21st. Practices are held right at the Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex, which is definitely a fan-friendly environment.

When I attended Spring Training in 2005, I stayed on Disney grounds at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. The team also stays on Disney property at the Coronado Springs Resort, located at 1000 West Buena Vista Drive in Lake Buena Vista. Other local hotels include the Ramada Resort Maingate at 2900 Parkway Boulevard in Kissimmee; the Palm Beach Gardens Marriott at 4000 RCA Boulevard in Palm Beach Gardens; and the Comfort Inn & Suites at 3520 North Highway 98 in Lakeland.

Of course, you have many dining options in and around Walt Disney World, including fine restaurants at the Disney resorts and hotels. Restaurants right in Kissimmee include: Pacino's Italian Restaurant, located at 5795 West Highway 192, and The Black Eyed Pea, located at 5305 East Irlo Bronson Highway.
