Get More Space Out of Your Kitchen Cupboards

Get the Most Room You Can Out of Those Small Kitchen Cupboards

Small cupboard space in your kitchen can be a nightmare. You just don't have enough room for all of your dishes and food. Your kitchen always looks messy, simply because you don't have enough room to put all of your
kitchen stuff away in the small cupboards. Cooking in your kitchen seems like more of a chore than it used to. If you are living with small cupboard space in your kitchen, then the time has come to do something about it.

You can free up an entire drawer in your kitchen by doing the following:

Hang a magnet strip on the wall above your counter. You can hang your can opener, scissors, potato peeler and any other magnetic utensils from this magnetic strip.

Purchase a few decorative ceramic, wide necked vases: you can place your spatulas, tongs, turkey baster and any other space taking utensils into the vase and keep them on your counter.

You can free up space in one of your kitchen cupboards by doing the following:

Remove all of the kitchen appliances that rarely get used; possibly your hand mixer, blender, waffle maker, etc. You can store these in a cupboard in another part of the house, the linen closet may work, or perhaps the top of the closet in your bedroom has a little extra space where you can place these items.

Hang anything that you can onto the walls in your kitchen. The point is to remove anything that can be hung from your counter top, this way you can use the counter top for other things that will free up cupboard space in your kitchen.

Buy decorative containers for your cereals, sugar, flour, rice and pasta. You can display these items along the wall on the counter and have all that extra cupboards space.

Store your pots and pans in your oven. If you stack them neatly enough you can do it in a way that requires little effort to remove them when you need your oven.

Buy stackable containers. If you have a lot of mix matched bowls and lids, this can take up a lot of room in your kitchen cupboards. Instead buy a set of containers that all fit into each other. Also, purchase dinnerware that is in a set, these will stack nicely on top of each other.
