Wrestlemania is the WWE's biggest annual event and as each Wrestlemania passes, fans are presents with huge twists and surprises that are more memorable than some of the matches. Here is a look at some of the biggest surprises in WWE Wrestlemania history.

Wrestlemania X- Bret Hart vs. Owen Hart: Everyone expected this to be an easy match for older brother Bret as he prepared to finish the night off against Yokozuna, but the crowd was stunned during this open contest when Owen Hart got the win. It came out of no where when he rolled him up
and got the 3 count, showing how much potential Owen had in the WWE.

Wrestlemania IX- Bret Hart vs. Yokozuna: It looked like defending WWE champion Bret Hart was about to retain his title with a sharpshooter on Yokozuna, but Yoko's manager Mr. Fuji changed things around with a toss of salt into Hart's eyes. Yokozuna got the win and was quickly awarded the WWE title until Hulk Hogan came out and was instantly challenged to a match. Hogan dropped a leg drop on Yokozuna and as a huge surprise to everyone he left Wrestlemania IX with the WWE title.

Wrestlemania X-Seven- Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. The Rock: Stone Cold Steve Austin and the Rock have one of the most memorable Wrestlemania feuds of all time and their second encounter had one of the most memorable endings. Austin's arch rival and boss, Vince McMahon came to the ring and after Austin mercifully beat the Rock with a chair and won, he shook hands with McMahon and turned on the fans.

Wrestlemania XXIV- Randy Orton vs. Triple H vs. John Cena: Cena was looking for revenge and Triple H was looking for his first title in a long time, but both heavy favorites in this match-up would fall short as Orton ended the match with a sneak attack and the win. The third triple threat main event in Wrestlemania history proved to be the most unpredictable, because Orton had the worst odds to retain but somehow managed to do it.
