Wrestlemania Anthology Reviewed

Wrestlemania by far the largest and most extravagant wrestling show ever made. Now if you like wrestling in any form then you have probably heard about Wrestlemania even if you do not like wrestling you probably have heard of Wrestlemania. Now the greatest wrestling show ever made has
come onto DVD in a big way. You are now able to purchase an anthology covering all the Wrestlemanias from number one to number twenty in the set the last time I checked. The set does have some very good pluses, but it also has some minuses that are mainly dubbing issues and censoring issues.

The big pluses of the Wrestlemania anthology set is that you can finally watch some of your favorite older wrestling superstars wrestle while they are in their prime. No longer do you have to wait for guest appearances for your wrestlers on television because you can see them here. Another plus to the Wrestlemania anthology is that you are able to watch all of the Wrestlemanias from the very first one to the last one that happened. Granted you might have to purchase the more recent Wrestlemanias separately, but the anthology set is well worth the money for viewing the older Wrestlemanias.

Some of the drawbacks of the Wrestlemanias that are seen on the Anthology are that the blobs that cover some of the signs and letters in the background can distract you to look at them instead of the matches themselves. Another big drawback is that they have bleeped out some of the sounds that made reference to the old company name. Now these bleeps can get annoying because you will hear the announcers start saying here he is the WWbleep champion. Now granted this may have had to do this because of the name change, but at the same time it is annoying hearing that change and bleep. Not only that as with the Royal Rumble anthology the sound quality can vary greatly depending on the match. This means that you could be listening to the announcers and within a minute the sound could drop so low that you might have to turn your television up all the way only to have the speakers blow your ear drums a minute later when the sound shoots back up.
