The Return of Glitz - Beyonce, Jessica Biel

If anyone could introduce the return of glitzy gowns, it is definitely Beyonce. With her golden sequined Elie Saab gown and long, straight hair, Beyonce looked every ounce the superstar that she's become.Jessica Biel also went with a sparkling gown and a teased updo to complete the beaded look.

Although the gowns featured plenty of beaded trims and embellishments, jewelry took second place to the dresses; bling was limited to accent pieces like a pair of hoop earrings, bold bracelets or a large diamond ring.

Right in White - Sienna Miller, Kate Winslet

If there was one great trend of the night, it was that white gowns were a standout. The white dresses ranged from Sienna Miller's metallic-embellished white Marchesa gown (worn with Heidi braids that only Sienna could pull off) to Kate Winslet's white strapless Azzaro gown, red lips and Chopard necklace.

Kyra Sedgwick, Heidi Klum, Jennifer Garner, Ali Larter and Teri Hatcher all opted for white dresses.

Short Stories - Renee Zellweger, Tina Fey

Not every celebrity needed a full-length gown for glamour. Julia Louis-Dreyfus chose a gold Carolina Herrera dress, Renee Zellweger went with a short green dress, Sarah Jessica Parker got in on the metallic trend with a gold short dress and Tina Fey chose a full-skirted short black dress.

Glamour Girls: Eva Longoria, Drew Barrymore

Eva Longoria looked just about perfect in a navy Ungaro dress with beaded turquoise straps and Drew Barrymore redeemed herself after that awful green Emmy's dress with a diva-worthy strapless Dior in blush, accented by smoky eyes and an elegant updo.

She may have been way over the top, but Vanessa Williams certainly made an entrance with her enormous 'fro, beaded Carmen Marc Valvo gown with corset top and fur. Can you believe she actually wore a fur?! She was about the only celebrity smart enough to wear a coat in the chilly weather.

Goddess Girls - Ellen Pompeo, Hayden Panettiere

Drapes, one-shoulder dresses and ruching are nothing new to the red carpet. But this year the celebrities took the goddess look to another level with their hair.
