I have a challenge for Associated Content writers who seem to think that the web site is a scam that does not pay. I have been here for a long time and I am one of those writers that have made decent money. Associated Content is a real job to me and I consider it as such, I work hard here and the other places I write to churn out articles, which bring me in money. I am a full time content writer for various web sites and Associated Content is my highest dollar earner in both of the years I have been pursuing this career.
This challenge is for those among us who think that Associated Content does not make money. Just as with anything you do, what you put into writing is what you get out of it. I get out of it what I put into it. If you put in garbage articles, you will get garbage page views and feel the need to slam the site. Whose fault is it really?
I am sick of content writers who flood my email box telling me that this site is a scam, as I know it is not. Recently I reported a content producer who kept sending me emails about joining his group. I ignored his first request to join his group and he wrote me again with his rhetoric, which I promptly reported to admin here on Associated Content.
He was slamming Associated Content in the first email, which is why I choose to ignore it; I know that a serious content writer on this site can make money as I have done myself. Anyone can make money here if he or she does two simple things 1.) Write often and 2.) Use SEO on hot topics.
Once I began doing those two things together I seen my page view bonuses go from $50-$70 dollars a month to making a house payment for me. There are several of us here who are getting triple digit page view bonuses on a monthly basis and a few who are getting over a four-digit bonus monthly. It is because we put hard work into this and build up our article base using SEO written articles, which bring in the visitors.
It's the visitors you want to view your articles so you have to make your stuff searchable for them to find you. Trust me my first 500 articles barely bring in any thing because I was not using SEO before. SEO is like a beacon to the search engines, so turn on your beacon and they will flock to your articles.

Hey Amy. I think I figured out how our buddy's mad about the word putz. I only used that particular word in response to a "Mike Donnelly" on my USA article. Hmm...Could he have been this "mike Donnelly?" Distubing to say the least...posing as someone else. Oh MY GREED! He's in the comment below talking again...telling me to tell the truth! I saw those messages he sent you hon. Nobody picks on you. He's just exposing himself. Now...let's you and me get back to work. We don't have time to waste on this.

Pick on me all you want Don, I'm still going to think you are a talented writer. But I stand by what I say: This SEO advice that Amy is giving is bogus. It may work for AC PV's for now, but things are changing. I teach SEO, but on another forum, Factoidz.com. I didn't tell any of my friends (including my five readers) about this spat. (1) out of respect for AC. This kind of nonsense lowers the quality of the site (2) I know we are going to make peace again soon, like we always do! I'm not ashamed of who I am on either side of any holy veil, but if you want to comment on my character -tell the truth.

@ Don "Putz" defined: vulgar slang for penis. Do you have some sort of unhealthy obsession with this male body part? Did you loose sight of your own? "dicky-doo" defined: belly that sticks out further than your dicky do. there is some more PG-13 humor that you unfairly call obscene.

I'm enjoying (limited) success in other forums myself...There ARE other forums ya know. I like AC a lot, and would not bash them. This is a great article, Amy! A great challenge that I will take you up on and follow your steps in the other article I am reading now. I have been trying to learn SEO and it seemed too hard. I didn't think I could ever understand it but the tips in your "Free Top Search Engine Placement" article make it seem a little easier and do-able. As for what that Kevin guy said, don't worry about him. He doesn't know you like the rest of us do and we know you work hard and have accomplished a lot since starting out. Thanks for these tips and the challenge! :)
I think numbers speak for themselves. Amy's page view average is over 1,400 now. Kevin's is 74. Which one is bringing in the views? She must know something, don't you think. On top of that she freely offers help to people who come to her and very graciously I might add.
