Sewing machine, glue or needle & thread
White ruffle material, White Doily material or White eyelet material
A bundle of cotton for after Valentine's Day
Red Satin string to make a bow on top

Step one- Take your heart stencil and place it in the middle of the fabric of choice. Now carefully cut out the heart with your scissors. You can outline it first with Black marker if that makes you more comfortable. Now repeat this step again. You should now have 2 hearts. Make sure they are at least 14"x 18 " or smaller all up to you, but this is a good size for a kitchen table.
Step two- Place the two hearts together. Make sure they line up. Now either glue the hearts, staple, needle & thread, or sew leaving an opening at the top. This way you will be able to stuff them with cotton.
Step three- Place the White material of choice around the hearts. Sew, glue, staple, or use needle & thread to secure the White material.
Step four- Your romantic heart placemat is now almost done. To add a sweet touch, make a small bow from Red material of choice and place it on top of the heart placemat.
