a compilation of her greatest work along with some new tracks to bow out from the label.

The cover art for the album is simple yet stunning as Lennox always captures seductive and classy looks. Wearing just a white dress, she blends with a pure white background with dark eye make-up against her fair skin.

Opening the record is one of her most loved singles titled "Little Bird." The song reached only No. 3 in the U.K. and only peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play in the U.S. The song was taken from her first solo album, Diva, which also includes her first solo single in her career. "Why" is that single and is also included on The Annie Lennox Collection. "Why" has been covered by several artists, mostly live, including Kelly Clarkson who introduced the song saying "I hope I don't ruin it for you because I know Annie did a really good job the first time!" Lyrics are suggestive of a broken relationship coming to an end and the person will never know how they really feel after all the years spent together.

As an activist, Lennox is including her second single from 2007's Songs of Mass Destruction. "Sing" includes various female artists including Melissa Etheridge, Celine Dion, Sarah McLachlan, Pink, Madonna, k.d. lang, Bonnie Raitt and Joss Stone. Twenty-three in total, the singers joined their voices in a benefit for AIDS in Africa. Considered the "AIDS genocide," Lennox felt passionate about the crisis in Africa. "Sing" was produced by Glen Ballard who is popular for his producing of Alanis Morissette's Jagged Little Pill.
