Mealy Worms No More
Mealybugs are a great pest for plants. They are terrible and difficult to get rid of.
The best method for getting rid of mealybugs is by removing the leaves that are infested. They like to group together so if you remove the leaves then you will solve the problem faster.
Another method is to use plants in the garden such as asters and petunias in your garden or greenhouse to help
get rid of thrips. They get on these plants and die.
Some people use a mild solution of soapy water. You have to rub the plants to use this method. Make sure that you don't damage the plant leaves and stem. It is often just easier to remove by hand.
Even if you lose just a few plants to mealy worms by tossing them out, you can save the rest of your garden and yard.
