My Shipwreck

You leave me stranded
like a ship lost at sea.
Alone and confused
I pray for refuge.
I replay your every word in my mind
In hopes to find answers to all my questions.
But my only realization
is that you poison me.
You paint pictures in my mind
and then tear them away.
Over and over again.
Shutting me out,
breaking me down.
