Contact lens wearers are often prone to dry and irritated eyes. Unfortunately, the store shelves are often lined with an endless supply of eye drops and dry eye formulas for those who do not wear contacts on a regular basis. There are only a few eye drops on the market that are made especially for contact lens wearers. Clerz, by Ciba Vision, is the brand that I prefer as a contact lens wearer. Ciba Vision has an established reputation for making quality products in the contact lens industry.I have been using Ciba Vision's Clerz, for the past five years, as needed. I had originally received the recommendation from my opthamologist after I mentioned that there were days when my contacts felt like hard plastic irritants stuck to my eyes at the end of the day. I have worn soft contacts since I was 14, and generally wear them at least 12 hours each day.
A few years ago I developed a case of keratitis (infection of the cornea) after falling asleep in my contacts. Since that time, I find that I need to use Clerz eye drops many days to keep my eyes from feeling dry or irritated. It is fairly common for contact lens wearers to experience dryness with extended wear or when the eyes are irritated.
Clerz offers relief to contact lens wearers. I have tried Visine and other alternatives, but most eye drops require the removal of contact lenses before application. Ciba Vision's Clerz allows the consumer to use the eye drops while wearing contact lenses.
Clerz is my brand of choice after trying others eye drop brands and variations. The Clerz drops are not irritating to the eyes, even with contacts in. The recommended application is for one drop in each eye as needed. When my eyes are dry, I use Clerz at least once a day and more often if needed.
Ciba Vision Clerz can also be used for dry eyes associated with eye strain from looking at a computer screen for long hours. Clerz helps to combat some of the dryness after wearing your contacts for extended periods of time outside of normal wear. ThOne of the main challenges for contact wearers is trying to keep the eyes healthy and contact lenses from feeling dehydrated. Clerz is can be helpful with both goals.
