This elegant vintage mirror clock is the ultimate shabby chic and vintage craft you can make at home. This easy to make vintage mirror clock makes a great hostess gift, birthday gift, and even something you can make to decorate your own home.

This vintage mirror clock is a unique accent piece that should fit into quite a few different rooms in any home. This vintage mirror clock would look great in a home office, bedroom, or even a shabby chic kitchen.

To Make a Clock Out of a vintage clock You Will Need:

One Vintage Clock

Clock Kit

Glue

Flat back glass beads

Power Drill

Ceramic or glass drill bit

Battery (Probably AA)

Now, I always come across great Vintage Mirrors just about everywhere I go. I even find Vintage Mirrors at the flea market every summer. You can even find reproduction Vintage Mirrors at Target, Pier One Import, and Cost World Market. Each of these would be perfect to make into this simple vintage clock.

Drill a small hole in the middle of the Vintage Mirror. This will be for your clock kit, so you may want to take a look at that and see if there are any size conditions for this small hole. You don't have to center the clock face; you could offset it for some visual interest.

Now, you are ready to install your clock kit on the Vintage Mirror. Follow the direction on the clock kit box. Each kit will be slightly different. I find clock kits at the hardware store, the home improvement store, and almost every single arts and craft store out there. I recommend a clock kit that runs on a battery so that you do not have to have a cord hanging out of the back of the Vintage Mirror, but that is complexly up to you.

Now, some clock kits will come with numbers, but you may find that they are too big for or for not match this Vintage Mirror clock project. You can use these great iron numbers sold at the arts and craft store for this if you want. I like to paint them out in silver, or a contrasting color that will really show on the Vintage Mirror, glue them on and really make this look great.

You could also buy flat backed glass beads in the shape of circles. Glue them on in place of the numbers on the clock.
