Winter is here and the City of Chicago is cold and windy. If you are looking for something romantic to do that is uniquely Chicago, here are some ideas for dates. There are enjoyable activities that are free, such are the fireworks on Saturday night, Skating at the ice rink, or going to Lincoln Park Zoo. Other activities charge an admission such as the Skydeck at Sears Tower, John Hancock Observatory and Brookfield Zoo. The others charge depending on what you choose to purchase. Here are some enjoyable things to do on a date or with friends.

Fireworks on Saturday Night
Every Saturday night until March 3, the city is illuminated with fireworks over The Chicago River at 6:30. The Magnificent Mile is illuminated with a garden of lights. Visit the Magnificent Mile on a Saturday night, see the sights and the lights.

McCormick Tribune Ice Rink in Millennium Park
Ice Skating at Millennium Park Ice Rink is great exercise as well as romantic. The McCormick Tribune Ice Rink in Millennium Park is open through March 16, weather permitting. The Ice rink is free and open to the public. Skate rental is available for $7. The ice rink is located on Michigan Avenue between Washington and Madison Streets. Go to the Zoo
Lincoln Park Zoo

Skydeck at Sears Tower

John Hancock Observatory
The John Hancock Observatory at 875 N. Michigan Ave. has been newly renovated. Views span up to 80 miles and 4 states. Adults $10.25, Seniors (62+) $8.00, Children (5-12) $6.50. 888-875-VIEW.
