MySpace: How to Add and Re-size Photos (for Windows Users)
A Guide for the Not-So-Computer-Savvy Folks!
Uploading Photos:
Step #1: Go to www.myspace.com and login to your account. Here, you will see your usual "Welcome" screen ("Welcome yourname").
Step # 2: To the right of your picture (or gray area where your pic should be), click "Add/Edit Photos" (this should be the third option down in the list). Clicking this will take you to the next screen - the "Upload your Photo" screen.
Step #3: In the "Upload Photo" form, you will see a button that says "Browse" on the right. Click the "Browse" button. This will bring up the "Choose File" menu.
Step #4: From the "Choose File" menu, select what file folder your photo is in. To change file folders to find your picture, at the top of the "Choose File" menu, click the pointed-down arrow on the white bar (this bar is labeled "Look in:"). From here, you will select what folder your pic is located in (usually the "My Pictures" folder located inside the "My Documents" folder). If you're in the "My Documents" folder and your pic is located in the "My Pictures" folder, simply double-click on the "My Pictures" folder.
Step #5: After you have found the pic you are looking for, click on it once (it will typically be highlighted with a blue frame once you click on it), and then click "Open" on the lower-right side of the "Choose File" menu.
Step #6: In the "Upload Form" on myspace, click the "Upload" button. Your image has to be less than 600 kilobytes in size in order to upload. If your photo is larger than this, an error message will come up telling you that your file size is too large. Don't worry. This is easily fixable (I'll cover this in a moment). If your photo was less than 600 kilobytes, your picture will be uploaded to your profile and a message will appear below the "Upload form" in red text saying, "Thank you for uploading your image from IP address" and your IP address will follow. This signifies a successful upload!
