How to Style Bangs With Curly Hair

Professional Tips for Transforming Curly Hair into Soft, Straight, Sleek Bangs

To get your curly hair to behave well as bangs, you'll have to do a bit of convincing. You can style bangs so that they look sleek and pulled-together, no matter how curly your hair is; all you need is the right tools and a few tricks of the trade. You'll need a few products
(straightening cream or serum, and a tiny bit of hairspray), some basic equipment (a comb, a paddle brush, and a blow dryer), a little bit of time (less than ten minutes once you've mastered the technique), and the directions in this article. Read on, and learn how to transform your curly hair into straight, sleek bangs that softly frame your face.

While Your Hair Is Wet

Start out by applying a straightening cream or serum to sopping wet bangs. The product will coat each strand, protecting your curly hair against heat damage, and helping create extra definition in your finished look. Squirt a small amount of the product into your hand, and rub your hands together for ten to fifteen seconds to evenly distribute it across your palms. Then, run your hands through your hair from root to tip a few times. Follow this with a gentle comb-through to make sure every hair is coated. Then, grab a paddle brush and a blow dryer, and move on to your next step.

Blow Drying Tips

To get curly hair to hang smoothly as bangs, you'll need to blow your hair straight using heat. To get sleek strands with gentle lift, try this professional trick. Moving slowly, use one hand to brush your hair flat against your forehead at a diagonal angle, so that your brush sweeps from the top edge of your bangs down to the opposite ear. Use your other hand to follow the brush with a blow dryer, blowing downwards onto your hair. Once you've made a single sweep, switch sides so that you start at the other top edge of your bangs, and move towards your opposite ear. The alternating diagonals will zap curls and cowlicks, and enhance movement and body. Keep going until your hair is absolutely, utterly, completely dry. If your hair is even slightly damp, it will start to revert to its natural coils, so keep going. When your curly hair is dry and sleek, it's time for a few finishing touches to help pull things together.

i hope this helps cause maybe in a few years, when my hair is long enough, Ill get bangs. Instead of blowdrying, the bangs, could straightening it be the same thing? Cuz I'd be easier to straghten the bangs, and blowdrying damages dry, frizzy curly hair, the type I have lol x]
