Would you like to learn French - I mean, really learn it? Not just have a survey class, or know a few nouns, but actually be able to construct sentences and phrases in French in a non-Neanderthal way? Maybe you took French in high school or college, and never paid attention, and would like to make up for it as an adult. Or you are a student who could use some additional help. If you are going to France, or if you are just interested in the language, there are plenty of places in the Seattle area that can teach you.

Seattle Language Academy; 126 West Canal Street, Suite 100, Seattle, WA, 98107 Call (206)325-4109
The Seattle Language Academy offers instruction from languages such as Japanese to ancient Greek. Their French department offers something for every level, from beginning to advanced. As the name implies, the courses are college style in approach: each student is enrolled in a 3 month language course, and can expect drills, homework, and textbooks. The classroom atmosphere is not dull and dry, however: many attributes of French have to be learned trough verbal interaction. The instructors are fluent French speakers with teaching experience, and will help guide students towards proper pronunciations, conjugations, and accent. Tuition now starts at about $365/quarter, and morning and evening classes are available.
