Fake News Story:
The next time that you are in a social group, make up a fairly realistic news story, and ask the others about it. My favorite is the hit and run of a State House Representative. I like to start out by asking, "Did anyone see that story about the State Representative that got killed in the hit and run accident?" One out of five people will say yes. I will then ask those who said yes, "Did you see what State he was from?" One out of five of those people will give you a state.
People do not like to appear that they do not keep up with social happenings. Many people will tell little white lies just to look knowledgeable.
Fake UFO Sighting:
This one, you have to do a little bit of work for, but not much. Get about four or five friends together for this experiment. Make sure that one of the friends is an attractive female. Next, print up this article, and have everyone read it. Also make sure that you keep a copy of this article in your pocket, I will explain why later. Next, find a location that is on the off skirts of major event. You can for a field near a concert or convention. Finally, bring a camcorder and a few cameras.
Take your friends there at night. Make sure that you are in plain view of those who are going into, or leaving the event. Have everyone look up to the sky, and get excited from time to time.
When people start coming up to you to find out what you are doing, tell them that it was just covered on the news that this area is a hot spot for UFO's. Tell them that you have already gotten film that night of a UFO.
As people start gathering, keep track of which ones seem to be more interested in the UFO, and how many seem to be interested in the attractive female that you brought. I have done this experiment three times, with the same results each time. About 90% will be more interested in the girl.
