Willie Clark, who is being labeled as a "person of interest" and may know more about what happened early that morning on New Years Day, when Broncos football player Darrent Williams was shot to death, is back in jail again. He violated his parole and has been sent back to prison today for a 180 day mandatory sentence. The Denver police department had a well known interest in keeping him close and better yet, in custody since the investigation of Darrent Williams' murder is still going on. There is also some speculation that Clark was picked up for safety reasons as well. He may be better off in jail as opposed to being out on the streets.

Clark is 23 years old and was on parole for a car theft when he was arrested last month on an unrelated parole charge by Denver Police. They questioned him in regards to Williams' death.

This time, Clark has been charged with 3 counts of parole violation: Not living where he is supposed to be (his grandma's house), not paying his restitution as well as not paying his $10 monthly payment to his parole account.

Darrent Williams was a well known and loved Denver Broncos football player. He was selected by the Broncos in the 2005 NFL Draft. He then went on to play cornerback for 9 games that season with 58 tackles and 2 interceptions. He also led the Broncos with the most punt and kick returns. His last game for the Broncos was on December 31 of 2006 against the San Francisco 49ers. He had to leave early after a shoulder injury. Little did he know that less than 12 hrs later he would face a tragic event.

Around 2:10 am early New Years Day, Williams was shot to death in a Hummer limo driving away from a night club in downtown Denver. 2 other victims were hurt but survived after another vehicle pulled up next to the limo and fired at the passengers. The incident occurred around 11th Ave. and Speer Blvd.

They had been attending a New Years Eve celebration as well as a birthday party for Denver Nuggets basketball player Kenyon Martin at a night club. There was some type of argument that occurred at the party but police have said Darrent Williams was not involved.
