Super Lee is the name of one of the greyhound industry's biggest stars, a newcomer who will turn two years old on February 10th. Super Lee has been tearing up the Palm Beach Kennel Club oval, winning races so easily that so far his only loss came in his first Grade A start when he fell heading into the far turn. Super Lee is so fast from the box to the first turn that in his ten official outings he has been beaten to the bend just twice. There is no doubt that Super Lee will be a major factor on the stakes circuit this year, as he may be the most exciting greyhound to hit the national scene in quite some time.

A 76 pound sleek black male out of Brett Lee and Kiowa WW Garcis, Super Lee has the entire greyhound world talking about him- and rightly so. His father was a hugely successful Australian champion and his mother routinely won top grade contests at Pueblo in Colorado and at West Virginia's Wheeling Down. Super Lee made his Palm Beach debut on December 3rd of 2006 in a schooling race. He won by just under a length in 30.02 for the 545 yard distance, the only time he ran over 30.00 flat except, of course, for the time that he fell.

This greyhound has seemed to get better each and every time out. Super Lee schooled again a few days later and won easily in 29.90, then went to post as a Maiden on December 12th and annihilated a field by 14 lengths in 29.73 as an overwhelming favorite. He easily climbed the grading ladder, advancing to the top level at Palm Beach in the minimum number of starts. Super Lee won his B race in his fastest time, a blazing 29.50 clocking, but in his first A start he got tangled up heading into the far turn and took a tumble. Much to the relief of the crowd and his handlers, Cahill & O'Connor Kennel, he got up and shook off his misfortune, a bit wiser for the experience.
