You can use all of those cute baby shower cards to enhance baby's first scrapbook. There is no reason to go an purchase expensive scrapbooking material. Anyone can make a creative and personal scrapbook by using the words and images on the greeting cards received at the baby shower.

New parents receive a lot of baby shower and welcome baby cards. While we might like to keep them all, new parents also need whatever space they have for other more practical baby items. Using Baby Shower Cards to Enhance Baby's First Scrapbook

1. Cut up each baby shower greeting card. Select an image on the card to cut out - a stork, a baby, a rattle, etc. Also cut out any relevant words you might want to use in baby's scrapbook.

An advantage to using cut out words you find on greeting cards is that provides you will a variety of baby words printed in find the word many different colors, sizes and fonts on the cards.

You will have plenty of cut outs of the word "baby," "baby boy," or "baby girl," that you can use throughout baby's first scrapbook. Also cut out "It's a boy," or "It's a girl."

Keep all of the greeting card cut outs in an open box or in an envelope, or with other scrapbooking materials.

2. Arrange large elements on the first scrapbook page. Use photos or any large pictures that were cut out from the baby shower greeting card.

3. Next add any relevant words on the scrapbook page that were cut from the greeting cards.

4. Include any extra ribbons, buttons or other scrapbook embellishments to add the finishing touches to the page.

5. Look at the page as a whole. Add more elements to the scrapbook page or remove, as needed.

6. Once the page is designed to your liking, use acid-free glue to secure each piece.
