Harmony for the Soul

Harmony for the Soul is a group of caring women joined together through their admiration of American Idol Taylor Hicks; friendships were created from this common interest. Kid One Transport is a charity that is near and dear to Taylor Hicks heart. Fans of Taylor know this and have been doing what ever they can to help support this great organization. Harmony for the Soul was created to help Kid One to be able to continue what they do in helping the children of Alabama. Harmony for the Soul is dedicated to organizing a National Soul Patrol Convention. All profits from the convention will go to Kid One Transport.

Kid One Transport is a program that has helped the children in Alabama for nine years. They have provided more than 111,000 transports and driven over 2.5 million miles to ensure that those who need help receive the medical care that they need. Kid One serves children with a large variety of healthcare needs. The types of appointments range from routine medical checkups, dental screenings and mental and emotional health services and also critical and specialized care such as radiation, chemotherapy and dialysis. Some families just do not have the transportation to get too these much needed appointments and Kid One Transport is there to help make sure they get the transportation they need

Plans are currently underway for the convention to be in Birmingham, Alabama, to be held tentatively on October 12-14, 2007. Harmony for the Soul is planning multiple activities, a musical extravaganza, and a chance for friends old and new to gather and share in the common bond of love for an artist and great soul music. Venues in the city are being reviewed, however, an idea of attendance is needed and therefore your help is needed. Depending on the responses received, that will then give an idea on how and if the plans for the convention shall proceed.
