Throughout American history, we have seen afros, leg warmers, tie-dye, rubix cubes, and bell bottoms fall from the lime light in American society, but one product has withstood the test of time. Video games have proven to be one of the most innovative inventions ever created. From the 8-bit games of the 1980's, to the insanely realistic graphics of today, video games have always been giants of the technology industry. Just like literature and cinema, video games have produced some of the greatest stories, and experiences in their nearly thirty year history. This article was written to give praise where praise is due. From the Nintendo Entertainment System to the Nintendo Wii. 10.) The Legend of Zelda series is a foothold for the Nintendo company. Every single console Nintendo has produced has had a best selling Zelda game. No other franchise within the history of gaming combines the subtle art of puzzle solving, and the hack and slash genre. By far the best game for the Super Nintendo was The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. This game personified what the Legend of Zelda series was, and was going to be. With the introduction of the Master sword, and total game play of over 30 hours easily, A Link to the Past is the best you can ask for when it comes to 16 bits of gaming.

9.) Square-Enix is a gaming company that produces games solely based upon story. The company has two main series of games they focus on, and Kingdom Hearts is neither of them. At first sight, the strange mix of Disney characters and a fully developed, highly advanced story line might be misleading. But the game is a gem. The game play is absolutely perfect, and there was really no glitches with any other aspect of the game. But, Square-Enix fans know they don't buy their games for the game play. By far the best aspect of Kingdom hearts is they story. Kingdom Hearts is by far one of the best games I have ever played.
