Even though some of have more rhythm than others, we all have an urge to express rhythm in some way. The earliest of men expressed their rhythm with the use of drums, along with dance. Today, we have a set of rule for dancing in respect to what society will find acceptable. Along with this there are many dancing which we can learn. However, today free-form dancing is very common and acceptable. With this form or dance, there are no set rules, but one can just merely, dance their own way to express themselves.
Dancing is a great way to relieve stress and let out emotions. It is also a great form of exercise. Many men are proud of the way they can lead in a dance with their partner, and ladies love to dance with a man who is a great dancer.
However, there are many individuals who miss out on the fun experience as a result of apprehension. Men are fearful that they will step on their partner's toes and women are afraid that they will not be able to follow their partner's lead and seem clumsy. There are others who do not take action to learn to dance as they are afraid that they do not possess enough natural rhythm. There are other forms of rhythm aside from dancing such as, typing. Many type with ease, but still feel that they could never dance. Others use their rhythm as a public speaker, or musician. The reason most that has rhythm issues is as a result of self-consciousness. This is a case of when we tell ourselves we cannot do it, we can't.
