Having unique wedding decorations is easy. All you have to do is brainstorm. Put a twist on something you’ve read or seen in a magazine, or even at another wedding you have attended. Here are some ideas that I came up with off the top of my head. They are twists on something I have already seen, or heard about. Moreover, they are full of unique wedding decoration ideas that you can put a twist on yourself. Check these out:

Try a new kind of tree.

For a twist on the money tree, put out a wine bottle tree. In place of an appropriately placed note on your announcement or invitation regarding a money tree, invite your guests to build your supply of good wine or champagne. You can have a bottle out of your collection every year on your anniversary!

Are you city chic?

Do you live in the city and love the sensation surrounding art galleries featuring up-and-coming artists? You can recreate this feeling at your own wedding! Have your photographer take a series of pictures of you and your fiancé; close-ups of your faces will work best for this project. You can use black & white or color, depending on your style. Have them blown up to poster size prints on canvas sheets and hang them around the room so that the bottoms are near or touch the floors. Place spotlights at the bottom of the pictures and shine them upwards.

Use what you love.

Do you collect something interesting? Use them as a centerpiece or unique wedding décor. If you collect buttons, place them in mason jars or vases on the tables. Do you collect stamps? Place them in shadow boxes.

Or do you have a hobby? Do you study birds? Perhaps using birdhouses in your décor, or to avoid the mess of live birds use ice sculptures of them throughout the reception hall. Do you travel? Use old suitcases stacked up on the floor. Your guest book could look like an old passport, with aged leather.

Do you love coffee? Why not serve gourmet coffee in mugs imprinted with your names and wedding date? It doesn’t matter what you do, but if you really love something, why not incorporate it?

Theme wedding?
