The Best Love Potion Cocktail Drinks for Valentine's Day
It's the day of chocolates and roses, but if you're in the mood for a little more, these drinks will rev up the romance (and they make great Valentines Day party drinks too!)
VALENTINE CHOCOLATES
Skip the heart shaped box and serve your sweetie a new twist on the classic favorite for Valentines Day.
1 shot Vodka
1 shot Dark Creme de Cacao
1 shot of Cherry Juice (from Maraschino Cherry jar works well)
1 splash of Cream (or milk)
1 splash of Soda Water (or Sprite)
Fill strainer with ice. Pour ingredients in strainer. Shake and strain into a martini glass.
Optional: This drink makes a great shooter, too. If you have multiple guests, double the recipe and strain into shot glasses instead of a martini glass. Fills approximately 5 shot glasses when doubled.
REDNECK VALENTINE
Add some southern flair to your Valentines Day celebration with this down-home treat.
2 shots of Vodka
Root Beer
Mountain Dew
Fill a tall glass with ice. Pour in vodka. Pour in equal parts of root beer and Mountain Dew until glass is full. Serve and shout "Yee Haw!"
Optional: If you are not a vodka drinker, try substituting white rum.
MY MONKEY VALENTINE
Your significant other will go ape over this scrumptious drink, and hopefully, wild for you, too!
1 shot of Vodka
2 shots of Banana Liquer
3 shots of Cranberry Juice
Fill strainer with ice. Pour ingredients in strainer. Shake and strain into a martini glass or short tumbler.
Optional: Garnish with a slice of banana and a maraschino cherry.
CHOCOLATE DIPPED STRAWBERRIES
Blend up one of these cool treats to melt your Valentine's heart.
1 shot of Coconut Rum
1 shot of White Creme de Cacao
1 shot of Irish Cream
1 splash of Milk
3 scoops of Vanilla Ice Cream
3 tbsps of Frozen Strawberries (or fresh puree, if available)
Pour all ingredients into an upright blender container. Seat container on blender and blend until thoroughly mixed. Ice Cream should be fully blended into drink with no lumps remaining.
