Color blindness, commonly referred to as CVC or color vision confusion, is a condition which impairs the vision perception of millions of American adults and children. With most suffering from CVC, or colorblindness, due to a genetic defect passed from the mother, learning to assimilate to a color intense world can be complex and frustrating at times. As a CVC, or colorblind, sufferer, understanding not only the cause and origin of the color vision confusion but also ways in which to cope in a normal lifestyle, will work to ensure color distortion does not impair even the most basic of daily living activities, such as driving a vehicle.

For the CVC individual, confronting colorblindness with aggressiveness and vigor will provide for a more positive emotional outlook for the world in which you may see varying degrees of color differing from that of other individuals your age. Education is paramount, especially when facing colorblindness that is inherited at part of your genetic mapping.

One such area of concern with colorblindness involves the inappropriate matching of colors when selecting clothing attire. When glancing through the wardrobe of a CVC individual, oftentimes, the color schemes seem irregular and, even more profound, when selecting clothing to wear, the colors oftentimes do not match or blend. For this reason, as a CVC individual, learning to focus on clothing textures may provide the way to improve clothing selections. In today's fashion world, clothing textures, oftentimes, can offset poor or irregular clothing color choices. Additionally, when preparing for employment, consider using solid blend suits and match with a contrasting tie with patterns or stripes as this will often work to offset and missed color matching for the colorblind individual.
